About our cabinets.
The Silvertone 1482 and 1472 were almost identical amplifiers with only a few small differences, that said, they are dimensionally identical. Your 1472 chassis WILL fit our cab!
All of our Silvertone Style Cabinets are built to allow you to install your chassis and original or new speaker, without any modification. Simply remove your chassis* and speaker, and install into your new cabinet, takes about 15 minutes! We supply new speaker nuts and chassis screws.

Cabinet Specifications:
3/4" finger jointed pine, with early 1472 style front ledger, 9" depth to allow use of any speaker.
Baffle board- 3/8" void free Baltic Birch with 1/4" void free Baltic Birch ledgers to eliminate grill cloth rattle.
Back panel- 1/4" void free Baltic Birch.
Rubber feet.
Marshall Style black handle with chrome end caps, or Fender Style leather handle, your choice.
Tolex choices - "Close To Original Style" - Black Nubtex - Black Taurus - Red, Blue, White and Silver Sparkle. Others may be offered in the future, if you have a specific or unusual one you want, we suggest you order it yourself and send to us.
Grill cloth-We haven't been able to find any original grill cloth, not sure if we will be able to reproduce it either.
We offer: Fender Style wheat with brown stripe, Oxblood with gold stripe, White with Gold Sparkle, Marshall style Checkerboard and Salt and Pepper. I have some remnants and a few others left over from my old shop that I'll be posting pictures of. If your original grill cloth is in good shape, we can install it on our baffle board for you. simply send us your baffle, we'll carefully remove the cloth, install it on your cab, and return original baffle with new cab.
Piping- we can add the early 1472 style piping to your cab.
Custom options? We can also make an original 1472 Style "Refrigerator Handle", these are difficult and very time consuming to make and cover, we can also recover your original.
